Dr Wei is a substantive Consultant Neurologist at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, with a specialist focus on headache disorders.
Dr Wei joined the Headache Group at King’s College London in 2015, where she undertook clinical fellowship training in headache medicine and completed doctoral research, working closely with Professor Peter J. Goadsby as a mentor. She subsequently took up a consultant post at King’s College Hospital.
She completed specialist neurology training in the South West of England, London, and Auckland, New Zealand.
She has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of headache conditions, including migraine, cluster headache, and less common headache syndromes.
Dr Wei is committed to providing personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. She offers advanced treatments such as Botox for chronic migraine and greater occipital nerve blocks. She has a particular interest in Trigeminal Autonomic Cephalalgias (TACs) and in supporting young people as they transition from paediatric to adult headache services. She helped to establish the King’s Health Partners Transition Headache Clinic, working closely with colleagues from Great Ormond Street Hospital.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Wei is the Treasurer of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH). She also leads a European task force developing European guidelines for the management of TACs, and contributes to global research efforts through the International Headache Society.
